About Us
Eagle Pass Lodge, LLC offers some of the best wild pheasant hunting in central South Dakota and a very relaxed lodging experience.

On your hunt, you can count on seeing hundreds of wild pheasants boiling out of our numerous corn and Milo strips. After several hours in the field, expect your shoulder to be sore and your bag filled with five long tailed roosters. At Eagle Pass Lodge, your enjoyment is only beginning.
Your stay will be enhanced by our "Five Star" amenities. Visits to the sauna and whirlpool after your hunt will help to recharge your battery and prepare you for more fun. The Lodge has two par-three golf holes just off its patio that will give you a chance to lighten your buddy's wallet. Or take advantage of our championship tennis courts.

If you want more shooting, enjoy unlimited clays on the Lodge's trap range featuring a tower and wobble thrower. The scenic pond stocked with feisty largemouth bass is one stop on our natural prairie trail. To top off a wonderful day in South Dakota, enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by our award-winning chef. Several conversation lounges, a well stocked bar, and our HD movie theater with 168 inch screen, surround sound and luxurious leather recliners should entertain you well into the night.

The best part is the next day you wake up and do it all over again.

The Hunt
A typical hunt will start in late morning after guests enjoy a hearty ranch breakfast. A bus will transport hunters and their guides to fields located within a 1 1/2 mile radius of the Lodge.

Generally there will be between 12 and 18 hunters in a group with 8 to 12 "walkers" and 4 to 6 "blockers". Two non-shooting guides will accompany the walkers, help work the dogs and carry pheasants shot by the hunters. A third guide will drive the bus and help position the blockers. Walkers and blockers may alternate during the hunt. Walkers will move slowly through the corn or Milo strips allowing the dog’s time to traverse the strip and flush pheasants, or push them towards the blockers. Be prepared for "explosions" of nervous pheasants taking flight at the same time. That sight and sound should remain with you for the entire year.

We have an abundance of wild pheasants and we like to have a leisurely hunt. After each walk, we will take a break for refreshments and rest the dogs. After several fields, we return to the lodge for lunch. No alcohol will be allowed before or during the hunt. We will hunt as many fields as are necessary to fill your daily bag limit of five roosters.

Once the daily hunt is over, you will be returned to the Lodge for post hunt pictures and relaxation. Your pheasants will be dropped off at our cleaning station near the Lodge for processing and preparation for shipment.

Game Offered
Included in your all-inclusive package will be airport shuttle, lodging, meals, beverages, a five-rooster bag limit, guide service, license, shells, game cleaning/shipping, and unlimited access to the Lodge's features.
Rates for the 2007 pheasant season will be as follows:
Individual (2 minimum)
2 days/3 nights    $1,900 per person
3 days/4 nights    $2,750 per person
Group discounts:  Groups of 6 or more receive a 5% discount
                         Groups of 12 or more receive a 10% discount
A deposit of $500 per guest is required to hold a reservation. A parent or legal guardian must accompany guests under age 18. All guests must be legal shooting age.

Exclusive Use (20 maximum)
2 days/3 nights $30,000 per group
3 days/4 nights $45,000 per group
A deposit of $10,000 is required to hold an exclusive reservation.
Corporate Retreats (off-season)
$10,000 per day with a maximum occupancy of 21 guests.

Lodging
Your stay at Eagle Pass Lodge will be memorable. From the time you step off the airplane until you leave, our goal will be to make your hunting trip pleasurable and relaxing.

You will be greeted at the lodge by our Concierge who will direct you to a comfortable double occupancy room with soft queen size beds, down comforters and a private bath. High speed, broadband internet is wired into the rooms and wireless access is available throughout the lodge. Daily housekeeping is provided. Our Concierge will be available from morning until after dinner to assist you.

After dinner you may retire to any of the Lodge's conversation areas and enjoy a cocktail and fellowship. The natural fieldstone fireplace; the patio with its unique fire-pit table; or the great room lounge overlooking the Ree Hills are all popular choices.
The Lodge's luxurious movie theater features plush leather reclines, a 168 inch screen, HD projection equipment, and surround sound. A good movie is a perfect way to end an evening and we have an excellent selection of current releases, old classics and hunting videos.

You may choose to relax in the large sauna and whirlpool spas. Robes and slippers are provided for your comfort. A patio lounge overlooks our two par-three golf holes with bent grass greens. This is a perfect place to watch a sunset and play a little pitch and putt. We also feature a championship tennis court that doubles as a basketball court.
 

Meals
Dining will be a highlight of your stay at Eagle Pass Lodge. Our "Chef Coretta" is well known in the area for her culinary mastery. here presentation of the five course evening meal is an event. The mouth-watering fare will include Angus prime rib, walleye pike and several unique pheasant dishes, plus desserts that are to die for. Fine wines and homemade bread accompany the feast.
 
Breakfast will be a hearty ranch style spread, although a lighter option is also available. Lunch is typically a sandwich bar and a selection from Grandma's favorite soup recipes. Beverages and snacks will be available in the Lodge at all times.

Transportation
Courtesy airport pick-up and drop-off is provided for all of our guests arriving by air.  On the days of the hunt, we will provide transportation to take you to the field and bring you back to the lodge.  For our guests without their own vehicle or rental car, we will be glad to assist in making arrangements to accommodate your transportation needs.
